Following tests on the Area71 Slotcars parts manufacturing using carbon additive SLS powder, we are pleased to report these cars will now be allowed to race under DiSCA rule sets. The material in question was not found to be electrically conductive in raw or fashioned states, and exposure to a live electrical circuit saw zero drop in potential on measurement devices.
Carbon filaments used in FDM additive manufacturing are still explicitly banned. Any manufacturer of Carbon filament FDM products should contact the association if they require an expemption assessment.
