WEC 2025 Rules Summary

While the final DiSCA WEC 2025 regulations are being finalised,  the content of those regulations is complete and is shared in the summary below.

DiSCA Hypercar
DiSCA Hypercar replaces the old LM P1 category for 2025. This category is for Le Mans Hypercar “HY” / IMSA LMDh “GTP” from 2022. An open category with the greatest technical freedom within the formula, where cars may be built from scratch or significantly modified market offerings.

Min Body weight: 20.0g
Min Total weight: 72.0g

There are no significant differences between DiSCA Hypercar and the outgoing LM P1 rule set, other than the weights detailed above. This remains the place to be if you want scratch build your own bodies, chassis and performance parts.

DiSCA LM P2
DiSCA LM P2 has had a major overhaul for the 2025 season. Whereas previously LM P2 cars enjoyed the same level of technical freedom as P1, the category is now restricted to commercially available slot racing cars with a limited number of tuneable upgrades from the model’s manufacturer. Cars must feature original equipment featured on the newly created official DiSCA Homologation list – 1:32 LM P2. Essentially, this category now has a similar structure to DiSCA GT3 where models and certain parts are approved for use by the homologation list rather than being totally open. Currently, the eligible models are the Slotit Acura ARX-05 and Oreca 07, which share the same chassis, and must use either C74 or CH82b 1.0 motor pod. As such the option to run the MX16 motor in LM P2 has been retired, and all cars in this category must run the MN09ch with the closed side facing the track.

Min Body weight: 20.0g
Min Total weight: 80.0g

In summary, LM P2 now has body and chassis restrictions with free running gear and specified weight limits.

DiSCA LM GT
As full size racing moves away from the GTE spec and adopts GT3 cars into WEC and the Le Mans 24 hours, DiSCA aims to emulate that. While it is not currently possible to drop in our GT3 technical regulations to WEC and maintain a balance of performance across the three categories, we have begun to make changes to assimilate the LM GT category with DiSCA GT3 with the aim of unifying them in the future. LM GT cars are now limited to commercially available slot racing cars representing those with FIA Group GT3 homologation. Cars and components must be sourced from bonafide manufacturers using either original equipment and / or approved OE aftermarket chassis options featured on the official DiSCA Homologation list – 1:32 GT3.

Min Body weight: 22.0g
Min Total weight: 72.0g

In summary, LM GT are the now same as GT3 Euroseries, but with different motor options matching what WEC normally offers in terms of hand out materials.
