Derby HO Racing club played hosts to DiSCA for the first officially organised race event for GT4 and Touring Cars, competing in a 3 hour endurance event on a replica of Sebring International Raceway.
Ten teams took to the circuit with eventual winners Exiles, piloted by John Underwood and Jonathan White, taking class and overall victory with a standard Scalextric AMG GT. Their “AM” class car (unmodified) beat the field consisting of “PRO” (modified) cars and Touring Cars, chalking up a total of 865 laps in the three hour period.
Best Rookie driver was awarded to Richard Hollingsworth, racing for Chimera Model Sport for the first time, also an AM class AMG GT by Scalextric. Touring Car was won by the Honda Civic of Alex Jones and Nick Sismey, by just four laps from the BMW of Gary Skipp and Paul Sleight. The GT4 PRO category was won by WSR3D, with a modified Scalextric AMG GT.
